This is the domain of Andy Schmitt. I created it sometime in 1999 to give my college writings, rants, and other nonsense a public forum, though none of them mean much to me fifteen years later. I finally rescued it from the domain squatters who relieved me of it (through my own carelessness in re-registration) in '08 or '09.

Eventually this might be my personal blog, or something to showcase projects. However, I'm pretty low on free time these days, so don't hold your breath.

Here are a couple projects of mine, though.

Parthenon Software Group

I started this company in 2006 with my good friend and co-conspirator, Chris Wilson (who is no better at regularly updating websites than I am). We're a low-drag, no-BS company that builds custom software for a huge range of businesses, and we specialize in heavy-duty programming, system architecture, and scalability instead of the design- and marketing-oriented work that many other custom software developers take on. The company is doing well, and we are having a lot of fun running it.

Metal Reviews

I've been writing weekly heavy metal music reviews for this website with 5-6 other folks for about two years. It's helped me find quality metal for years and I highly recommend it. If you're a headbanger who wants to see what's good lately, or if you're new to the scene, getting further into metal, and would like some guidance on the best albums/artists to check out, this is the place to get it.
